About Trish

Trish originally hales from Michigan and graduated from Michigan State, just like the characters in Escape from Iran. 

Trish currently lives in Austin, Texas, with her husband, Mike. Although she’s an Austinite now, she has lived in several US states and other countries. She graduated college planning to “save the world.” Her husband teases that her career has been a success; the world is still here! She and Mike have two adult children and relish their time together as a family.

When Trish is not writing, she enjoys hiking, biking, kayaking, dancing, and socializing. Fun and adventure are top priorities! Her highly varied life experiences align with her robust imagination to inspire her novel(s). She has now embarked on the adventure of writing, and that journey has just begun.

When I began work on this book in 2018, writing about Iranian Revolution, and the concept of religious nationalism, seemed so distant from modern day America. Now, in 2023, I am more aware than ever of the precarious nature of women’s rights, and how easily they can erode, even in the "modern" West.

This adventure is filled with sex, betrayal, bravery and bloodshed. Throughout it all, a theme that is uniquely intertwined within the framework of the novel is the fragility of women’s rights. The events that take place in the book have life-changing consequences; which not only affect the characters in the novel, but continue to profoundly impact the women of Iran--and increasingly, the United States, to this day.
